Amorette Hanna, OD

Optometrist in Raleigh, North Carolina

Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, Dr. Amorette Hanna completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Florida (Go Gators). She went on to attend optometry school at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she graduated with honors in 2013. During her optometric education, Dr. Hanna received several distinctions including Cooper Vision’s “Excellence in Contact Lens” award as well as induction into both the Beta Sigma Kappa and Gold Key International Optometric Honor Societies. Dr. Hanna received extensive training in contact lenses, pediatrics, and ocular disease, including a rotation at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Salisbury, North Carolina.

Dr. Hanna is actively involved in local and global outreach. She has been on several overseas mission trips and regularly serves as a volunteer optometrist at Samaritan Health Center in Durham.

Outside of work, Dr. Hanna enjoys being outdoors, watching football, baking, and traveling. She has combined her love of baking and optometry in a fun, educational blog called Eyecing on the Cake.
